Ms. Rice joined the Institute in March 2019, where she coordinates all research activities under the direction of Dr. Christine Mac Donald. She holds an MA in Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle and a BA in Psychology from Clark University. She also serves as a research assistant at the Center for Child and Family Wellbeing at the University of Washington under the supervision of Dr. Liliana Lengua. Ms. Rice has taught kindergarten and third-grade classes at Congregation Beth Shalom, managed event coordination for Ivy Child International, and worked with individuals with developmental disabilities at A Starting Place and Camp Summit. She conducted an MA thesis on teachers’ perceptions of evidence-based social-emotional learning programs for children and has a passion for investigating modalities that help individuals cultivate emotional regulation skills.
